III. Information About Data Processing

The data processed while using our website is deleted or blocked once the purpose of its storage is fulfilled, provided that no legal retention obligations apply. Below is a detailed explanation of specific processing activities:

Cookies

  • Session Cookies: We use cookies to make our website more user-friendly, efficient, and secure, such as enabling the display of the site in multiple languages or providing shopping cart functionality. The legal basis for this processing is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, where the cookies are necessary for contract performance. If they are not essential for contractual purposes, we rely on our legitimate interest in improving website functionality, based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
  • Third-Party Cookies: Our website may use cookies from partner companies for purposes like advertising or analysis. Details on the use of such cookies, including the legal basis and purposes, are provided below.

Contact Form and Email Communication

When you contact us via a contact form or email, the data you provide is used to process your request. This is necessary for handling your inquiry. The legal basis for this processing is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Your data will be deleted once your request is resolved, provided there are no legal retention obligations.

Online Job Applications

We offer the opportunity to apply for jobs via our website. In this case, the applicant’s data is collected electronically for processing the application. The legal basis is Section 26(1) BDSG and Article 88(1) GDPR. If a contract is concluded, the data is added to the personnel file for organizational and administrative purposes. In case of rejection, the data is deleted two months after rejection unless required for legal defense or other legitimate reasons.

Server Data

For technical reasons, your browser automatically transmits certain data to us, including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, and timestamp. This data is stored temporarily for security reasons and is deleted after seven days unless further retention is necessary for legal purposes.

Use of Social Media Platforms

We maintain profiles on various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube. These platforms may process user data, including personal information and IP addresses, for purposes such as market research and personalized advertising. Users should review each platform’s privacy policies for more details on data processing.

Use of script libraries (Google Webfonts)

Type and purpose of processing:

In order to display our content correctly and graphically appealing across all browsers, we use “Google Web Fonts” from Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; hereinafter “Google”) to display fonts on this website.

The privacy policy of the library operator Google can be found here: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/

Legal basis:

The legal basis for the integration of Google Webfonts and the associated data transfer to Google is your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR).

Recipient:

Calling up script libraries or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the operator of the library. It is theoretically possible – although currently unclear whether and, if so, for what purposes – that the operator collects Google data in this case.

Storage period:

We do not collect any personal data through the integration of Google Webfonts.

Further information about Google Web Fonts can be found at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google’s privacy policy: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/
